I used to always strive to make any art piece i did perfect. What this lead to was either one of two things. One i would produce something close to perfect (my perfect) or be scared to do anything in fear of hating it. Then i heard marilyn manson say something along the lines of why try to paint a picture to look like a photograph, you can just take a picture of it then. I realized that when producing a painting or drawing it is suppose to be YOUR view of the subject. You do not have to get the realism of it. Make it your own. Imperfections make the piece of art real. I still struggle with trying to perfect my paintings. I need more practice

sometimes i feel like my art work sucks. I wonder to myself what the hell am i doing???!!
This sucks! But then you realize ok a have a few good ones, but can i produce another
good piece??? ugh the struggles
